In this post we will see the process to simplify the OWA URL for internet users. That is allowing the user to type https://webmail.domain.com to access their emails and redirect the user to proper URL, such as https://webmail.domain.com/owa.
The process assumes that Exchange Server 2007 is setup and is published using ISA 2006.
To achieve this we will publish the root of Exchange 2007 Client Access Server (CAS), with an action of Deny to automatically redirect the users to proper OWA URL.

In this post, I will cover the process of installing Exchange Server 2007 SP1 Single Copy Cluster (SCC) on Windows Server 2008. I assume that you have configured Windows Server 2008 failover clustering and installed the Exchange 2007 Mailbox Role prerequisites. Also, this post does not cover any conceptual information like planning, prerequisites, and recommendations of deploying SCC on Windows Server 2008.
I have divided this post in two parts, in first part we will install the Active Mailbox Role and in the second part we will do some configurations required to complete the SCC setup and will also install the Passive mailbox role. Read the rest of this entry »
